Artist Trading Cards, first set

November 12, 2009

Last night, I revised two “old” ATCs I did last month. That was so enjoyable, I did two more from scratch. My entire set includes 7 cards, but I couldn’t get a decent photo of the first one without a tripod, so there are only 6 pictures.

I first heard about ATCs from, iirc, Bates Art Supply store in Indianapolis, at least 5 years ago. But I was too intimidated to try them then: wasn’t sure what media to use, my skills at drawing, painting, etc., seemed lackluster compared to the ones I saw, blah, blah, blah. However, now that I’m learning design principles, they seem a fun and helpful way to explore, play around with ideas, and maybe discover new ways of looking at the world.
